Hello, Might you or someone you know be interested in joining a Parkinson’s care partners virtual support group? Over the past few years, care partners from the Capital District Parkinson’s Support Group have formed several smaller groups to address issues pertinent to those of us who care for our partners with PD. This year, because of the pandemic, we are looking to see if there is interest in forming a new virtual group. The group(s) would be organized by a member who agrees to oversee Zoom meetings and remind members of meetings via email. The group will establish its own guidelines and schedule. For example, a group may choose to meet monthly, decide whether or not to have speakers or topics, etc. Many of us who have been members of care partner groups have found them to be valuable, friendly, and helpful. We are pleased that we already have at least one person ready to organize a group. Thank you, Arlene Sampson!
